Design & Presence
The Nippon Barstool brings tailored cushioned comfort and architectural timber presence to contemporary kitchen islands and elevated counter settings. Available in standard counter height (650mm) and commercial bar height (750mm), its restrained footprint slides easily beneath counter overhangs while keeping kitchen pathways open and unobstructed.
The supporting chassis is constructed entirely from solid wood. Structural timber legs taper gracefully toward the floor, braced by integrated four-sided footrest stretchers joined with traditional mortise-and-tenon methods. This reinforced perimeter provides a steady rest for the feet while preventing lateral frame racking and joint wobble during daily use.
The seat and curved backrest are fully upholstered over high-resilience foam padding, offering ergonomic lumbar support and pressure-free comfort during morning coffee or extended gatherings. Finished with a durable matte protective coating on the timber frame, the stool withstands daily handling. Conceived, resolved, and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Nippon barstool brings quiet refinement to elevated counter dining.
