Design & Presence
The Batman Side Table is defined by its compact circular top and an expressive, faceted timber base. Designed to sit beside low armchairs or along the edge of a sofa, its grounded silhouette introduces sculptural contrast into rooms shaped by straight lines. The balanced proportions keep visual weight centered, offering functional surface area within easy reach without crowding floor pathways.
Both the tabletop and the faceted base are built entirely from solid wood. Each timber board is hand-selected and grain-aligned to maintain uniform figure across the surface. Beneath, traditional mortise-and-tenon joints unite the faceted uprights into a rigid chassis that resists racking. Concealed expansion fasteners anchor the top, giving the solid timber room to breathe through seasonal humidity shifts without cracking.
In everyday living, the table provides a stable resting plane for coffee cups, reading lamps, and books at comfortable arm height. Hand-eased arrises soften contact along walkways, while the matte protective finish shields against liquid marks while preserving the warm, tactile grain of raw wood. Conceived and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Batman table brings honest timber craftsmanship into daily routines.
