Design & Presence
The Bello Square Dining Table establishes an intimate focal point for daily dining and shared meals. Proportioned at 1000mm by 1000mm with a standard 750mm height, its square footprint centers four diners equidistant from one another, encouraging open conversation. By resting on a sculpted central pedestal rather than perimeter corner legs, the table maximizes surrounding legroom and allows dining chairs to tuck away neatly without striking outer posts.
The chassis is constructed entirely from solid wood. Wide timber planks are grain-matched along the tabletop surface to highlight natural grain movement and tone. Beneath the table, slotted internal expansion battens accommodate transverse seasonal wood movement across changing regional humidity levels. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joints lock the heavy timber pedestal to the base plate, forming a weighted, tip-resistant foundation.
Hand-eased perimeter arrises soften contact along the tabletop edges, offering a tactile and comfortable resting surface for forearms during long dinners. A durable matte protective coating seals the wood surface against liquid spills, hot dishes, and handling scuffs without masking the natural grain texture. Conceived and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Bello Square Dining Table delivers enduring woodworking craft to the contemporary dining space.
