Design & Presence
The Carlton Dining Table combines modern mineral durability with grounded solid timber geometry. Proportioned at 2100mm long by 1000mm wide with a standard 750mm height, its generous rectangular stance comfortably accommodates eight diners. Topped with resilient modern quartz or honed natural marble, the piece brings cooling stone textures into open-plan dining spaces while maintaining fluid room circulation along the perimeter.
The substantial stone slab is supported by a heavy-duty solid wood under-chassis. Structural mounting plates distribute the mineral weight evenly into a reinforced perimeter timber apron. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joints interlock the solid wood legs with the structural sub-frame, creating an unyielding, tip-resistant foundation engineered to prevent lateral sway and joint fatigue across decades of daily dining.
Hand-eased pillowed arrises soften the slab edges, offering comfortable forearm contact during extended gatherings. Whether chosen in stain-resistant engineered quartz or natural honed marble, the surface is sealed against oils and moisture for easy maintenance. Conceived, resolved, and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Carlton table introduces enduring architectural gravitas to the contemporary home.
