Design Provenance: Continental Gravity & Architectural Thresholds

The Elefante Console Table takes inspiration from the strength and proportions of an elephant, expressed through its distinctive solid wood legs. Each support features a broad cylindrical upper section that transitions into two rounded forms at the base, giving the table its unusual character.

The long rectangular tabletop contrasts with the substantial legs beneath it. Despite its solid construction, the open space between the supports prevents the design from appearing overly heavy. The result is a console that feels substantial without overwhelming the room.

Elefante works particularly well along a feature wall, behind a sofa or in a spacious entrance. Its generous surface offers room for table lamps, ceramics, artwork and personal collections. As shown, it can also sit beneath a wall-mounted television for those who prefer an open console rather than a conventional TV cabinet.

The combination of sculptural legs and a straightforward tabletop makes Elefante suitable for mid-century modern, contemporary and eclectic interiors. It can introduce stronger shapes into a minimalist space or complement a home with more expressive furniture.

Part of the NICCHRIS ORIGIN collection, the Elefante Console Table is made to order in Malaysia by NICCHRIS. Its design gives a familiar piece of furniture a different personality, making it as much about the shape beneath the tabletop as the surface above.

The Signature Aesthetic

As an integral expression of the NICCHRIS ORIGIN series, the Elefante Console Table is created for architects, interior stylists, and discerning homeowners curating environments that rival the pinnacle of European contemporary design. Perfect as a dramatic foyer centerpiece, behind a floating sectional sofa, or as a gallery hall focal point, its solid hardwood chassis matures gracefully over generations developing an authentic patina under low-sheen protective sealants.
