Design & Presence
The Forest Dining Chair with Cushion Seat pairs an organic, softly contoured timber silhouette with disciplined architectural proportions. Measuring 500mm wide by 540mm deep with an 800mm backrest height, its compact stance slides neatly beneath dining tables without crowding floor pathways. The curved solid wood crest rail cradles the upper back while keeping horizontal sightlines open across dining and adjoining living spaces.
The entire structural chassis is constructed from solid wood. Each timber section is hand-selected and grain-aligned through the curved backrest, seat apron, and tapered legs to resist lateral stresses. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery unites the load-bearing frame into a rigid assembly that prevents joint looseness. Slotted internal fasteners secure the seat foundation, allowing the solid timber frame to breathe naturally across seasonal humidity shifts.
In daily dining, the resilient high-density cushioned seat sustains comfort through long family meals, paired with the supportive solid timber crest rail. Hand-eased perimeter arrises feel smooth underhand when pulling the chair forward, while a durable matte protective finish shields the wood against liquid spills and handling marks.
