Design & Presence
The Traitor Barstool introduces disciplined architectural geometry and tactile wood craft to modern kitchen islands and elevated counter bars. Offered in both kitchen counter (650mm) and commercial bar (750mm) seat heights, its compact silhouette slips completely beneath counter overhangs, keeping walkways clear and preserving uninterrupted sightlines across open-plan interiors.
The chassis is constructed entirely from structural solid wood. Slender timber legs taper toward the base, joined by integrated four-sided footrest stretchers locked with traditional mortise-and-tenon joints. This perimeter cross-bracing provides an ergonomic, secure perch for the feet while preventing lateral frame racking and joint wobble during daily hospitality.
A sculpted solid wood saddle seat features gentle ergonomic contours and hand-eased perimeter arrises that relieve contact pressure along the thighs during morning breakfast or evening gatherings. Finished with a durable matte protective coating, the timber resists moisture, food spills, and handling scuffs while honoring the tactile natural grain beneath. Conceived, resolved, and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Traitor barstool delivers honest woodworking craft to casual elevated dining.
