Design & Presence
The Zen Dining Chair is defined by an expansive, low-slung timber silhouette and continuous curved armrests. Proportioned at 630mm wide by 600mm deep with a 740mm backrest height, its generous stance offers relaxed dining posture while remaining low enough to preserve open horizontal sightlines across open-plan interiors. The sweeping solid wood rail wraps smoothly around the back to form integrated armrests that frame dining tables with quiet architectural weight.
The load-bearing chassis is constructed entirely from solid wood. Each timber component is hand-selected and grain-matched across the curved crest rail, armrests, and tapered legs to withstand lateral racking forces. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery unites the frame into a rigid, interlocking structure that prevents joint looseness over time. Slotted internal expansion fittings secure the seat foundation, giving the solid timber room to adjust naturally across seasonal humidity shifts.
In daily dining, the wide high-density cushioned seat provides resilient comfort through extended evening meals and relaxed gatherings. The hand-eased solid wood arrises feel tactile and smooth underhand when pulling the chair forward, protected by a durable matte finish that resists handling marks and spills.
