Design & Presence
The Nico Arm Rattan Dining Chair is defined by its compact stance, integrated armrests, and transparent cane backrest. Proportioned at 490mm wide by 470mm deep with an 850mm backrest height, its slender silhouette introduces comfortable arm support without overcrowding the perimeter of the dining table. The woven rattan weave filters ambient light and room perspectives, maintaining open sightlines across open-plan dining and living areas.
The structural frame is constructed entirely from solid wood. Each timber member is hand-selected to ensure continuous grain alignment along the rear uprights, arm rails, and tapered legs. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joints unite the frame into a rigid load-bearing chassis engineered to resist racking and joint looseness under repeated daily seating. Natural rattan cane is hand-tensioned into the inner frame channel, allowing natural flexibility without straining the surrounding joinery.
In daily dining, the breathable rattan backrest offers flexible, responsive support, while the high-density cushioned seat provides resilient comfort through extended evening meals. The hand-eased solid wood armrests slide cleanly beneath standard dining table aprons, and the durable matte finish protects against handling marks and spills.
