Design & Presence
The Brother Side Table is shaped around a compact circular silhouette and an angular three-legged base. Designed to sit beside low armchairs or at the corner of a sofa, its tripod stance creates an open, sculptural footing that grounds the table without feeling heavy on the floor. The round tabletop softens rectilinear living layouts while providing an accessible horizontal plane at comfortable arm reach.
Both the circular tabletop and the structural leg frame are constructed entirely from solid wood. We select and orient timber boards by hand to showcase continuous grain figure across the round top. Beneath, traditional mortise-and-tenon joints lock the three angled legs into a balanced central hub, providing rigid stability. Concealed expansion fasteners connect the top to the base, giving the solid timber space to move naturally through seasonal humidity shifts without cracking.
In daily use, the table provides a stable resting place for an evening drink, a book, or a bedside lamp. The hand-eased perimeter feels smooth underhand, while the matte protective finish protects against liquid marks while preserving the authentic, textured grain of raw timber. Conceived and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Brother table brings dependable solid wood craft into everyday domestic life.
