Design & Presence
The Noa Side Table is designed around a compact circular footprint and balanced proportions. Positioned beside deep armchairs and low sofas, its rounded top eliminates sharp edges in walking pathways, making it easy to move around in tighter living room corners. Its low stance keeps the table at comfortable arm level, providing accessible surface area without crowding surrounding furniture.
Both the circular tabletop and the legs are built entirely from solid wood. Each timber board is hand-selected and matched to maintain continuous grain direction across the round top. Beneath, traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery locks the solid wood legs into the sub-frame, creating a sturdy base that resists racking. Slotted mechanical fasteners attach the top to the legs, allowing the natural solid wood to expand and contract across seasonal humidity shifts without cracking.
In daily living, the table serves as a dependable resting place for morning coffee, evening drinks, or a reading light. The hand-eased perimeter feels smooth underhand, while the matte protective finish protects against liquid marks while preserving the authentic, textured grain of raw timber. Conceived and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Noa Side Table brings honest woodworking into daily home life.
