Design & Presence
The Cube Coffee Table is built around a low, rectangular plinth silhouette and the raw physical gravity of natural stone. Resting at a low height of 290mm with a 1000mm by 600mm footprint, its geometric block form introduces quiet architectural mass to central living areas. The clean, unadorned profile keeps sightlines open across low modular sofas and armchairs, allowing the cool mineral tones and continuous natural veining of the stone to anchor the room without visual clutter.
Each table is constructed from selected natural marble slabs, joined with precision 45-degree mitered waterfall edges so the veining flows naturally across top and side faces. Beneath the surface, a reinforced structural sub-frame supports the stone's substantial weight, ensuring permanent joint alignment and rigid stability. Master stone craftsmen hand-ease all outer arrises with subtle edge chamfers to remove sharp corners, followed by a penetrating matte seal that protects the stone against daily spills while keeping its tactile, natural texture open to the touch.
In daily use, the low plinth surface functions as an accessible, durable center for art books, ceramic trays, and morning drinks. The cool touch of the honed marble provides a tactile contrast against soft upholstery and woven rugs. Designed and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Cube table offers a calm, grounded foundation for contemporary domestic living.
