Design & Presence
The Cube Low Side Table is defined by a monolithic cuboid silhouette and a grounded 400mm height. Resting directly on a low plinth base, its compact footprint of 420mm by 400mm introduces structured architectural mass into central seating areas. The clean rectilinear geometry provides an anchored resting surface beside low lounge chairs without obstructing sightlines across open residential interiors.
The exterior is clad in selected natural marble slabs fitted over a reinforced structural wood carcass. Using a rigid timber core provides vital dimensional stability, preventing structural flexing and allowing the heavy stone panels to align along continuous 45-degree mitered edges. The internal wooden framework absorbs structural movement from humidity changes, keeping the mitered seams tight and secure over years of domestic use.
In everyday living, the honed marble surface offers an impervious, cool resting plane for coffee cups, reading lights, and personal items at comfortable reach. The hand-eased perimeter chamfers eliminate sharp stone arrises along room walkways. Designed and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Cube Low table delivers honest material balance and architectural permanence to modern spaces.
