Design & Presence
The Jumbo Rec Coffee Table is built around low, generous horizontal proportions and quiet architectural presence. At a low 300mm height with an expansive 1300mm by 800mm footprint, the table commands spacious living areas without interrupting sightlines across the room. Its broad rectangular surface establishes a clear spatial center, anchoring large sectional seating and open-plan layouts with balanced visual weight.
Both the tabletop and the supportive legs are constructed from wood finished in matched natural timber veneer. Using a dense, stable wood substrate surfaced in continuous timber veneer provides exceptional dimensional stability across the broad surface, keeping the wide rectangular top flat and resistant to warping through seasonal changes in humidity. Beneath, the legs and sub-frame are joined with traditional mortise-and-tenon assemblies, forming an interlocking framework that supports everyday weight with lasting durability.
In everyday living, the expansive top accommodates books, serving trays, and coffee cups within easy reach of every seat. Hand-eased perimeter edges remove sharp corners along high-traffic room walkways, while the smooth matte protective finish shields against spills and preserves the warmth of natural wood grain under your hands. Conceived and custom-made by NICCHRIS in Malaysia, the Jumbo Rec table provides a calm, enduring foundation for shared family living.
