MARIO Barstool
An Authorial Study in Sculpted Timber Contours, Island Proportion & Solid wood Artistry
Design Provenance: The Art of Counter Balance
Conceived and Designed by NICCHRIS, the Mario Barstool brings architectural presence and tactile warmth to kitchen islands, dry bars, and hospitality counters. Grounded in the tranquil discipline of Japandi minimalism, Mario celebrates the honest substance of full solid wood. Its scooped saddle seat slab balances atop splayed circular legs, creating an unyielding stance that stays visually light and tucks seamlessly beneath standard counter overhangs.
Sculpted Saddle Ergonomics
Precision-dished solid ash seat slab sculpted to follow natural human contours, delivering upright seating comfort without requiring upholstered foam cushions.
Interlocking Base Stretchers
Precision mortise-and-tenon timber crossbars serve as both an ergonomic footrest and a rigid structural brace that eliminates lateral frame racking.
The Signature Aesthetic
Designed for high-end residential kitchen counters, open-concept pantry bars, and boutique hospitality spaces, the Mario Barstool preserves continuous sightlines across open living zones. Sealed in hand-rubbed, low-sheen protective matte coatings, the solid ash wood matures gracefully developing an authentic golden patina through years of daily companionship.
