Created in partnership with design studio ODA, the Nooi Side Table reinterprets regional tropical weaving through an architectural lens of modern restraint. Rejecting monolithic mass, the design celebrates porosity—allowing natural sunlight to filter through delicate hand-woven cane webbing and cast rhythmic shadow textures across interior floors. Framed in precision-shaped solid ash wood, each table stands as a quiet dialogue between linear geometry and artisan handcraft.
Artisanal Cane Tension
Individually selected rattan mesh hand-fitted with calibrated tension into the solid timber rebate, creating tactile resilience that softens hard interior architecture.
Sculptured Timber Silhouette
Continuous curved transitions and radiused corners hand-smoothed to eliminate harsh edges, highlighting honest wood grain cascades along the legs.
