Design & Presence
The Forest Arm Dining Chair with Cushion Seat expands on the collection's organic silhouette with gently sloping, integrated armrests. Proportioned at 560mm wide by 540mm deep with an 800mm backrest height, its low-profile stance slides comfortably beneath dining tables while framing the table head with grounded presence. The continuous crest rail flows forward into sculpted arms, offering dedicated forearm support while preserving clear sightlines across adjoining living and dining spaces.
The load-bearing chassis is built entirely from solid wood. Hand-selected timber sections are grain-aligned along the curved armrests, backrest rail, and tapered legs to resist lateral stresses from everyday movement. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joints unite the frame into a rigid assembly that prevents joint looseness over time. Slotted internal fasteners secure the seat foundation, giving the solid timber frame room to adjust naturally across seasonal humidity shifts.
In daily dining, the resilient high-density cushioned seat sustains comfort through long family meals, paired with the supportive solid timber crest rail. The hand-eased solid wood edges feel smooth when drawing the chair forward, while a durable matte protective finish shields the wood against liquid spills and handling marks.
